Compilation: Liu Haoran x Kiehl's

by Tuesday, January 29, 2019

Since there's been so much new material from Haoran's Kiehl's endorsement, we thought we would compile everything in a post for your viewing pleasure (seriously, the Kiehl's aesthetics have been so on point). As always, if you're looking for up to date news and translations, make sure to follow us on Twitter as we update on a pretty timely basis there.

(Best viewed on PC as this post is image-heavy.)

Spokesperson Announcement

Haoran was announced as Kiehl's very first (and currently only) brand spokesperson back in September 2018, and is the only male brand spokesperson for one of the top six brands under parent company L'Oreal in China. This was the picture that was recently shared by an employee from L'Oreal China's recent end-of-the-year internal meeting - the six brands pictured are those that surpassed 1 billion (I'm assuming yuan) in Chinese revenue.

The Eye of the Storm: Chapter 4 - Scene

by Saturday, January 12, 2019

This chapter takes us out of the chronological account of Haoran's life that we've had thus far and focuses on some other topics, like friendships and first loves. He talks about his trip in Japan and feeling inspired by Kiko Mizuhara, about Give Me Five and the friends that he met through the variety show, and about an absolutely fantastic instance with the paparazzi.

Chapter Four - Scene

Friends are the warm breeze that we have by our side. We'll discover the effect that we can have on others, and can also find traces of their influence in ourselves. Love and like is an important part of that. What kind of person you are decides what kind of person you will meet.

Grazia China: No Need to Worry About Him

by Tuesday, January 01, 2019

Happy New Year! We've got our first magazine cover of the year for Haoran in Grazia China (the last time he was on this one was over a year ago!).

I know we're all getting a little antsy waiting on Haoran to choose his next project, but I do want to state here that something that's going a little under the radar is that the Chinese film/drama industry is currently going through a "hard winter", meaning there are many projects that have been pushed back/on hold or even canceled. Hengdian and the other film studios have also seen a sharp decline in the number of projects starting this year compared to previous years. You may say, but so-and-so is filming right now, but there are far more actors who are not filming right now than those that are right now. So - let's be patient!
