Elle China's 30th Anniversary: Liu Hao Ran on Growing Up

Elle China recently celebrated their 30th anniversary, and when Liu Hao Ran posted a congratulatory message (well, his studio did, since he's isolated in military training), fans thought that there might be a chance that he might have an interview portion in the 30th anniversary issue of the magazine. And they were right! Liu Hao Ran has quite a close relationship with Elle China editor-in-chief Xiao Xue (she appeared in his birthday video last year), so it's not a total surprise.

The first week of military training for Liu Hao Ran at the Central Academy of Drama (CAD) is now complete! If you've been following us on our Twitter account this week, we've been posting translations of the accounts from the freshmen who are currently at military training with him. This post essentially serves as a compilation for all the accounts that have been posted this week by excited students (all run-ins - it doesn't seem like anyone is actively following him around - not like they have time, anyways. Military training is strict and you're busy from early in the morning until late at night).

Aside from Liu Hao Ran's recent interview with Men's Uno, he also had short features in Men's Uno Young (he was the cover star for August 2018) and in the September 2018 issue of Harper's Bazaar. Because these were not released electronically, I didn't realize that they existed until I saw some HQ scans from C-fans. Both are relatively short, but are rather nice pieces, which is why we wanted to share them.

The Harper's Bazaar one may sound like it's written by a fan, but promise it's not, ha.

Liu Hao Ran Appears at YOHOOD 2018 for Puma

Liu Hao Ran made a rare public appearance yesterday at YOHOOD 2018 x PUMA! Although his appearance was rather brief, it allowed fans to see his new haircut and hear him speak briefly. We've subbed a short part of his stage appearance, and translated the rest of what he said. Also - lots of pics because haircut!!! (2016 vibes, anyone?)

The YOHOOD 2018 event is held in Shanghai this year, and it is essentially a convention to promote fashion trends/brands/products/pop culture. Various vendors, including fashion brands, accessories, etc., will have their own display and invite celebrity guests to hype up the event. It's actually a three day event, though Hao Ran will only attend one (he's already returned to Beijing) - Puma's got hip hop artists and dancers lined up for the other two days.
